Currently User Experience Designer @ Bader Rutter
To me, no project or subject-matter is boring.
Over the last 10 years, I have sought out new and diverse creative roles—with a focus on building strong brands. This search led me to San Francisco in 2012 where I threw myself head-first into the tech world working with the online platform, Thumbtack. I partnered with company founders, noted design leaders, and product design teams to help design intuitive, engaging, and digital experiences.
In 2016, I moved back to the midwest to focus on design for small businesses from yoga studios and craft distilleries to city-wide cultural events.
Prior, I worked as the Graphic Designer with the Milwaukee Art Museum Marketing and Communications team for 5 years designing across the full-spectrum of the Museum brand—from print and advertising to environment and experience design.
Nice things people have said about me:
Brenda can dream big and also deliver. She’s got great taste alongside great intuition. These characteristics show in her work and influence those around her in a very positive way including myself. I found our collaboration enlightening and was very encouraged by her potential to do even greater things in the future.

Brenda's skills go far beyond daily design, shining even more so in her strategic and creative thinking. Working alongside Brenda, I was constantly amazed and appreciative of her original approach to problem solving, anticipation of the users' needs, and high-level critiques. Her ability to step back and ask hard questions is both valuable and rare.

I've hired Brenda to work on projects both at Disqus and personally, and she always delivers. Not only is she a talented designer, she's a thoughtful planner and a great strategist as well. She was able to synthesize my rambling ideas and turn them into something beautiful, appropriate, and unique. Her work for Disqus always gets high praise and compliments.
